Weinstein has denied the accusations levied against him and issued a vehement denial over three allegations of rape which emerged on Tuesday. Rose Mc Gowan was suspended from Twitter on Wednesday night after several days of hitting out against the likes of Harvey Weinstein, his brother Bob Weinstein and Ben Affleck.He also said that 'The additional allegations of assault that I read this morning made me sick,' and that he wants to see more support for women in the media.
He is on a growing list of powerful men in the entertainment world who have lost their positions amid accusations of sexual harassment, among them Fox News star Bill O’Reilly, journalist Mark Halperin and former Amazon Studios head Roy Price.
Rose Mc Gowan, one of the first people to speak out about Harvey Weinstein’s alleged sexual assaults, has been temporarily suspended from Twitter.
Mc Gowan, who was allegedly assaulted by Weinstein in 1997 had been crusading against silence over Weinstein's grim past on Twitter. Be my voice.'She also shared a screen grab of Twitter's suspended account notification, which says 'We've determined that this account violated the Twitter Rules.' The message also suggests she 'Delete the Tweets that violate our rules.' She tweeted telling Affleck to 'F*** off,' and called him a liar after he denounced Weinstein on Tuesday. It was unclear which tweets from the actresses account would have violated Twitter's rules.
However she took to Instagram to share the news her account had been shutdown. She also tweeted 'Now I am allowed to say rapist,' without mentioning Weinstein specifically. Five days after the claims broke about the producer, who backed Affleck and Matt Damon's screenplay for Good Will Hunting, Affleck said that he was 'saddened and angry' over the claims.
This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen to others.

In her first public speech since accusing Harvey Weinstein of rape, actress Rose Mc Gowan issued a rousing call to expose and root out Hollywood sexism.
Dozens of women have come forward to accuse Weinstein, a powerful producer, of sexual harassment and assault. Mc Gowan was among them, and social media users rallied around her after Twitter temporarily suspended the account she used to broadcast her accusation of rape.
The horror flick premiered at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival, which is where Mc Gowan's alleged assault took place.
